Privacy Policy — Flight Sim Checklists

Effective date: 27 July 2026Last updated: 27 July 2026

Flight Sim Checklists (“the app”) is developed and published by Leon Nwankwo (“we”, “us”).

This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: the app does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information about you. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Everything the app does happens on your device.

Information we collect

None.

We do not collect, receive, or have access to any personal information. Specifically, the app does not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other contact information
  • Account credentials — the app has no sign-in, registration, or user accounts of any kind
  • Device identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA), or fingerprinting signals
  • Location data
  • Contacts, photos, calendars, health data, or files
  • Usage analytics, crash reports, session recordings, or behavioural data
  • Payment or financial information — the app contains no purchases or subscriptions

We do not operate a server or backend for this app. There is no database anywhere that holds information about you, because no information about you ever leaves your device.

Information stored on your device

The app stores one thing locally: your checklist progress — which checklist items you have marked as complete, and the time each was last changed.

  • This data is stored on your device using Apple’s on-device storage (SwiftData).
  • It is used solely to display your progress and to return you to the section you were working on.
  • It is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
  • Progress for an aircraft is automatically deleted after 24 hours of inactivity.
  • You can delete it at any time using the “Reset Full Checklist” button inside the app, or by deleting the app from your device, which removes all of its stored data permanently.

If you have iCloud Backup enabled, this local data may be included in your device backup. Those backups are handled entirely by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy and are not accessible to us.

Network use

The app is designed to work fully offline. All checklist content and aircraft images are bundled inside the app itself, and no network connection is required to use any feature.

The app contains a fallback that would load an aircraft image over the internet if that image were not included in the app. As of this version, every aircraft image ships inside the app, so this fallback is not used and the app makes no network requests during normal operation. If a future version relies on it, the image host would receive the standard technical information any web request includes (such as your IP address and device type) purely to deliver the image. No information about you, your identity, or your checklist progress is ever sent.

Third parties

The app contains no third-party software development kits, advertising networks, analytics providers, social media integrations, or tracking technologies of any kind. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share information with anyone, because we do not have any.

Tracking

The app does not track you. It does not use Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework because it performs no tracking across apps or websites owned by other companies, and it collects no data that could be linked to you.

Children’s privacy

The app is safe for users of all ages. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects no personal information from children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and there is no mechanism in the app by which such information could be provided to us.

Your rights

Privacy laws including the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and similar regimes give you rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to its processing or sale.

We have no personal data about you to access, correct, delete, port, or sell. The only data the app creates is your checklist progress, which is stored on your own device and fully under your control — you can view it in the app, change it at any time, and delete it by resetting a checklist or uninstalling the app.

Data security

Because no data is transmitted or stored off your device, there is no server-side data of yours that could be exposed in a breach. Your on-device checklist progress is protected by the operating system’s standard app sandboxing and device encryption.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy if the app’s functionality changes. Any update will be posted at this address with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes — in particular, any change that would introduce data collection — will also be described in the app’s release notes on the App Store. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
